Príbeh sa odohráva v malebnej dedine Aguazul, kde žije krásna dievčina z dobrej rodiny Montserrat. Dievčaťom neustále manipuluje jej matka Graciela Giacinto, ktorá za žiadnu cenu nechce stratiť svoje sociálne postavenie a vo svojej dcére vidí riešenie.
